Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship

  • Eligibility :
    (i) Canadian citizens, permanent residents of Canada and foreign citizens are eligible to be nominated for a Vanier CGS;
    (ii) Be nominated by only one Canadian institution, which must have received a Vanier CGS quota;
    (iii) Be pursuing your first doctoral degree (including joint program such as MD/PhD, DVM/PhD, or JD/PhD, MBA/PhD – if it has a demonstrated and significant research component);

  • Eligibility :

  • Eligibility :  
    (i) You will need to complete one of the following Higher School Certificates: All India School Certificate (CBSE), Indian School Certificate (CISCE) or one of the state board certificates. Students must submit their mark sheets/exam scores from examinations taken in the X and XII level;
    (ii) Your admission average will be calculated on 5-6 academic subjects completed in the XII level. The minimum entrance averages range between 67-85%, depending on the program;

    Further funding, in the form of a living allowance, may be offered to support exceptionally talented students with demonstrated financial need.

  • Eligibility :  
    (i) To be considered for admission, students typically need an 80% average or 26 predicted/anticipated IB Diploma points. The admission average is calculated based on the five required courses for the chosen program. Both domestic and international students are welcome to apply, with equal eligibility for admission;
    (ii) Entrance awards are offered to students who are entering Dalhousie program.

  • Eligibility :  
    (i) Offered annually to undergraduate international students entering first year in any undergraduate degree in the upcoming fall term who have satisfied the university’s English Language Proficiency requirement. Renewable in the second, third and fourth year at the University of Calgary, provided recipients achieve a GPA of 2.60 or more over a minimum of 24.00 units in the previous fall and winter terms and continue to pay an international differential tuition fee as an international student;
    (ii) International students who are required to pay international tuition fees and who are not Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents of Canada;

  • Eligibility :  
    (i) Be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada or a Protected Person under subsection 95(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada) as of the application deadline date;
    (ii) Not have held or be currently holding a CGS M scholarship from NSERC, CIHR or SSHRC;
    (iii) Have achieved a first-class average, as determined by the host institution, in each of the last two completed years of study (full-time equivalent);
    (iv) You may be required to submit course outlines so Admissions can determine if a prerequisite meets the rigorous academic standard required for admissibility
    (v) Be enrolled in, have applied for or will apply for full-time admission to an eligible graduate program at the master’s or doctoral level that can be started within the eligible dates of the competition year at a Canadian institution with a CGS M allocation;
